The HUB

Sewing Room

Areas in Campus Life
Student Leadership & Service
provides leadership and service opportunities for all BYU–Hawaii students. These events include club fest, culture night, food fest, and clubs got talent. The service center connects students to service opportunities to the communities from Ka'a'awa Valley to Waimea Valley.
Seasider Sports & Activities
provides a wide variety of fun, safe, and wholesome sporting events and activities for all BYU–Hawaii Ohana. These events include open gym/free play, single-day tournaments, and intramural leagues. As well as dances, movies, traditions, concerts, and opening and closing socials.

Timothy Samad, a senior from Indonesia majoring in business management with an emphasis in finance, shares his unique path to Brigham Young University–Hawaii, one marked by faith, academic ambition, and personal transformation, one that includes turning down top universities in Indonesia to becoming a CFA Research Challenge local champion, Samad’s story is one of purposeful living and giving the Lord an equal opportunity in all things.
Starting Your Journey Right: New Student Onboarding
Every semester at BYU–Hawaii begins with a sense of excitement, and it doesn’t get any more awesome than New Student Onboarding (NSO). With months of preparation, research, and careful planning, NSO sets the tone for what life will be like on campus. NSO isn’t just about paperwork and documentation; the six-person team behind the event plans to enrich, edify, and inspire new students while creating a fun and memorable experience.
